Staff Profile
Robert J. Kravontka, Sales Consultant
Robert Kravontka joined CONNSTEP in August of 2009, working collaboratively with the CONNSTEP sales team to assess product needs and training requirements - leading the development of new product strategies for CONNSTEP.
Robert has over 35 years experience in Connecticut manufacturing
operations and technical sales. He began his career in consumer
products as a manufacturing engineer with Schick Safety Razor and
BIC, having production and engineering responsibilities during the
early days of automation. Moving to project engineering with the
Torrington Company helped to round out his shop floor experience.
With Cincinnati Incorporated and The Robert E. Morris
Company, Robert developed marketing and sales skills through
positions in industrial sales. Recently, Robert gained national
sales and marketing experience with PIC Design in Middlebury,
Connecticut and developed a strong foundation in Lean
Manufacturing.
His book, Lean Selling, illustrates to the sales professional the need to streamline the sales approach and general practices, which in turn leads to a more effective sales pitch and client relations strategy.
Robert serves on the board of directors for the Connecticut
Green Building Council, and is chair of the Society of
Manufacturing Engineers (SME) central Connecticut chapter. He is
also a past regional chair of SME New England. A graduate of the
University of New Haven, Robert holds a bachelors degree in
Manufacturing Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration.
