(Rocky Hill, Connecticut) - CONNSTEP, Connecticut's Manufacturing Resource, is proud to announce that Nicholas Lavorato has joined the organization as a Business Development and Lean Program Specialist. Mr. Lavorato has over thirteen years experience in the manufacturing industry and brings expertise in the areas of continuous improvement, change management, succession planning and organizational development. He has provided both classroom and hands-on training and facilitated the design, development and implementation of corporate-wide process improvement initiatives.

"CONNSTEP is fortunate to have the caliber of skills and experience that Nick brings to our organization," said Bonnie Del Conte, president of CONNSTEP, "His entrepreneurial spirit and strong change management skills bring a nice, new compliment to our suite of services."

Nick is the current president of the New Haven Manufacturers Association and a director with the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Science in Organization and Management from Antioch New England Graduate School. Nick has undertaken additional training through the Executive Development Program at the Graduate School of Business at Harvard University.

Nick is a Six Sigma Greenbelt, an ISO9001: 2000 internal auditor and holds his NASD Series 24, 7 and 63 certifications.
