Bonnie Del Conte, President

Bonnie Del Conte has been president of CONNSTEP since 2006. She brought more than twenty years of successful corporate leadership to CONNSTEP and has held executive management positions for start-up, mid-size and large companies. She has extensive operating experience in managing service, manufacturing and technology companies, with an emphasis in financial management and business planning.

In 1988, Ms. Del Conte co-founded Key Staffing Resources, a woman-owned, permanent placement staffing agency whose market concentration included accounting, finance and information technology. Ms. Del Conte led the company through development and early rapid sales growth. In its second year of operations, she established the company's consulting division, which grew revenues by over 400%. In addition to managing the business operations, she developed client relationships and negotiated contracts with Connecticut-based and national insurance corporations.

Ms. Del Conte's senior executive positions include Chief Financial Officer at ISR, Inc., a consulting and solutions technology company, where she managed the due diligence process for acquisition of the company on behalf of the shareholders. She managed all negotiations from offer stage to completed transfer of all corporate assets, and acted as direct liaison with corporate stakeholders and outside accountants. She also held a senior position at VSM and Company, P.C., a mid-size CPA firm specializing in financial statement assurance, management advisory services, and sophisticated tax planning.

A Magna cum Laude graduate of Central Connecticut State University, Ms. Del Conte is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Connecticut Society of CPAs. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Bristol Historical Society, is a member of the Connecticut Energy Consortium, serves on the team for the Department of Economic and Community Development for Start-up Connecticut and is licensed as a private pilot. 

In March of 2011, Ms. Del Conte was selected as one of the "Eight Remarkable Women" by Hartford Business Journal's Women in Business Awards.
