Judy Wlodarczyk, Director of Environmental & Energy Services

Judy Wlodarczyk, Director of Environmental & Energy Services, has been with CONNSTEP Inc. for 13 years providing a full complement of environmental assistance to Connecticut manufacturers. This assistance includes regulatory compliance, environmental and pollution prevention (P2) assistance, waste elimination, resource selection and utilization, energy conservation, and ISO 14001. Ms. Wlodarczyk is an Environmental Management Systems-ISO 14001 Auditor.

Judy works closely with other manufacturing practice specialists to present a holistic, integrated approach to CONNSTEP clients. She advocates Green Manufacturing practices, part of the continuous improvement philosophy of eliminating waste in all business practices. Green Manufacturing integrates with Lean Manufacturing and quality, focusing on resources to reduce all wastes and costs. This practice is built upon a strong foundation of understanding the regulatory requirements and working to improve processes and practices.

Judy has worked with CONNSTEP clients to implement and audit ISO 14001, the Environmental Management Standard, and OHSAS 18001, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Standard.

Judy has developed strong relationships with national and state organizations and agencies, including the CTDEP to facilitate assistance for clients. She was the Principal Investigator for the Department of Energy (DOE) Connecticut Industries of the Future grant. She has partnered with the EPA to provide training and on-site assistance for developing an Environmental Management System (EMS) under the ISO 14001. She has delivered the Green Suppliers Network (GSN) Lean/Clean process improvement program for multiple companies, a partnership with the EPA, NIST MEP, and OEMs, and was a contributor to the EPA in the development of the Lean & Environment toolkit.

Judy has over 25 years experience in environmental consulting and environmental marketing. She has managed a wide range of projects for public and private sector clients. Judy has a M.S. in Environmental Management and Policy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.S. in Education from Northern Illinois University.  Judy is a ISO 14000 EMS Auditor, Certificate No:E052389.
